The story of a real cat who lived in an old-fashioned boatyard.
Scratch, a feral cat, finds a home with Josh aboard Prudence, an old
wooden boat in an old-fashioned boatyard.
Along with witnessing the every day goings on of the yard, Scratch and Josh
learn that they must share the waterfront
with others, both friendly and otherwise.
James Mitchell, the artist, and Stephen Jones, the writer, have spent most of
their lives since they were boys in places
like this and have
indeed worked in this very yard for over a dozen years where they have
known all the characters
animal and human in this book.
